Resident’s Blind-Date Love Story Featured in Rosemount Town Pages

Jo Hawkins had no idea the man she met on a blind date in 1947 would go on to become her husband. Together, Jo and John Hawkins had 12 children, 49 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren! While raising their kids, the couple even managed the Bon Ton family restaurant together and owned 17 acres of land in Rosemount. After John’s passing, Jo moved into The Rosemount Senior Living this past January and is pleased to be living at the same spot where her children used to attend school.“I just love it,” Hawkins said, “It’s so much like home and everyone is so kind, and it’s just such a friendly place.” You can read Jo Hawkins full story here.
